Privacy Policy

Updated 8/2026

Effective date: August 19, 2026 Last updated: August 20, 2026

SourceGrowth ("we," "us," "our") publishes business and sourcing research at sourcegrowth.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Site, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

This is a plain-language summary as well as our policy — if anything below seems unclear, reach us through the Contact section below and we'll clarify.

What we collect

Contact-form submissions. If you fill out a form on the Site (for example, to ask a question, request a shortlist, or reach our team), we collect what you type into that form — which may include your name, email address, company, and the content of your message.

Newsletter signups. If you subscribe to our newsletter or corridor briefing, we collect your email address and, if you provide it, your name.

Analytics. We use website analytics to understand how visitors use the Site — pages viewed, general location (city/region level, derived from IP address), device/browser type, and referring site. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to build an individual profile tied to your name or contact information unless you separately submit a form.

Server logs. Like any website, our hosting and security infrastructure automatically logs basic technical information (IP address, request timestamp, user agent) for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting. This is standard server operation, not a tracking feature we built.

What we do NOT collect. We do not require an account to use the Site. We do not process payments on the Site. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

How we use what we collect

  • To respond to your contact-form submission or question.
  • To send the newsletter/briefing you signed up for.
  • To understand aggregate Site usage and improve our content and research.
  • To detect and prevent abuse, spam, and security incidents (including through our captcha provider, described below).
  • To meet legal obligations where applicable.

We do not use contact-form or newsletter data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.

No sale of personal data

We do not sell your personal information, and — as of this policy's effective date — we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. If that ever changes for any future referral or introduction feature, we will update this policy first and describe exactly what changes (see "Referral relationships," Terms of Use §6, for the current status of that feature).

Third-party processors we use

We rely on a small number of service providers to run the Site. We name them by category rather than a fixed vendor list, because providers may change — we'll keep this section current:

  • Email delivery — a transactional/newsletter email service to send confirmations and the corridor briefing to subscribers. They process your email address and delivery status on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
  • Analytics — a website analytics provider to generate the aggregate usage statistics described above.
  • Spam/bot protection (captcha) — a captcha service on our forms to block automated submissions. This provider may process your IP address and basic device signals to determine whether a submission is human.
  • Hosting/security infrastructure — our hosting and content-delivery provider processes connection-level data (IP address, request metadata) as a normal part of serving the Site securely.

Each of these providers is contractually limited to processing data for the purpose we engage them for, and none of them can resell your data for their own advertising use.

Data retention

  • Contact-form submissions: retained as long as reasonably needed to respond to and resolve your inquiry, then deleted or archived in a form that is no longer actively used.
  • Newsletter/email addresses: retained until you unsubscribe, at which point you are removed from active sending; we may retain a minimal suppression record so we don't accidentally re-add you.
  • Analytics data: retained per our analytics provider's standard retention window; older data is aggregated or deleted on a rolling basis.
  • Server logs: retained for a limited operational window (security/troubleshooting purposes only), then rotated out.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email we send, or through our contact form.
  • Request access, correction, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you through the contact channel below. We will honor reasonable requests to the extent required by applicable law and consistent with our recordkeeping obligations.
  • Do Not Track: the Site does not currently respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because it does not perform cross-site tracking or ad targeting to suppress. If that changes, this section will be updated.

Scope of this policy — honest limits

This is a US-focused site. We do not claim comprehensive compliance with the EU's GDPR or similar non-US frameworks, and we do not represent that we have appointed any non-US-specific data protection roles or mechanisms. If you are visiting from outside the United States, you are sending information to a service operated in and governed by US law. We describe our practices honestly above; nothing in this policy should be read as a broader compliance claim than what is stated.

Children's privacy

The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site's features change (for example, when the referral relationship described in our Terms of Use activates — see Terms of Use §6). We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Material changes affecting how previously collected data is used will be reflected here before they take effect.
